Monstera New Leaf Unfurling. A Monstera wont fenestrate after the leaf has unfurled. Then new leaf off shoots from other stems started come in and the tips are brown.
But if you everything properly your monstera should have no problem producing new leaves on a monthly basis more if your plant is big enough to have multiple points of growth. Ultimately I dug out the plant again and found that many roots were still mushy and dark so I removed them. They also have seemed to stop growing.
Juvenile Monstera leaves will have no slits or holes looking more like a heart leaf philodendron but as the leaves mature they will gain more holes and splits.
If you have ANY kind of issue with the growth rate of your plants the first port of call is to check for. As Monstera deliciosa ages the new leaves will have more and more fenestrations holes and slits among the leaves. They also have seemed to stop growing. The curling yellowish leaf in photo 4 is a new leaf unfurling.
