Propagating Monstera Deliciosa in the soil is a bit tricky because you do not see the roots emerging and cannot remove the stem or dig into the soil to monitor progress. Prefers a rich and high nutrient but well draining potting mixture. If intended as a houseplant choose a deep pot with many drainage holes.
Care repotting watering and exposure are items to focus your attention to make your monstera.
This can be easily monitored with a pH kit. For my larger Monstera plants like for my deliciosa I use a slightly different mixture. Mix it all up and you have a beautifully draining potting mix. I have my Monstera Thai Constellation in my regular go to potting mix.
