All about indoor gardening and houseplants

Monstera Deliciosa Form. The large leaves form along thick green stems lined with long aerial roots that resemble tannish cords. During winter in particular you might notice a few mites or insects taking up camp on some of the leaves or stems that can leave behind a sticky substance.

Monstera is my favorite genus second to none. The Latin name Monstera deliciosa means delicious monster. The popularity of variegated plants have also welcomed the Monstera Deliciosa.

But there are a couple hints I can offer for an assortment of odd issues that could arise.

Monstera deliciosa the Swiss cheese plant is a species of flowering plant native to tropical forests of southern Mexico south to Panama. It has been introduced to many tropical areas and has become a mildly invasive species in Hawaii Seychelles Ascension Island and the Society Islands. Monstera Deliciosa likes rich soil mixtures that drain well. The form Monstera variegata has white and cream lines or patches on the leaves more colorful but not necessarily more attractive.
